Decision on Boiler Rules Creates Compliance Uncertainties

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has rejected EPA's attempt to delay implementation of its 2011 rules governing air toxic emissions from industrial boilers and solid waste incinerators. More than a dozen groups, including the Sierra Club, have sued the agency challenging the rules, and those cases have been consolidated for consideration by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.
