Walmart to Restrict PBDE Flame Retardants2:31 PM MST | February 28, 2011 | Kara Sissell Walmart (Bentonville, AR), one of the U.S. industry’s most influential customers, has notified suppliers that it will begin June 1 testing certain products for polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). The move is part of a broader Walmart initiative that would restrict certain substances in selected products sold by the retailer.
