U.S. Initiates 31% Tariffs on Solar Panels from China11:49 AM MDT | May 21, 2012 | Kara Sissell U.S. trade officials have proposed 31% tariffs on solar panels imported from large producers in China, saying Chinese companies sold their products at less than fair value in the U.S. The tariffs, slated to take effect in October, would affect 61 companies in China. Smaller companies would be subject to tariffs of nearly 250%, the U.S. Department of Commerce says.
