Sustainability Council Launches Business Guide to Ecosystem Valuation

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD; Geneva) has introduced a guide to enhance business understanding of the value of natural resources, including fresh water, food, fiber and natural hazard protection. WBCSD’s guide to Corporate Ecosystem Valuation (CEV) will enable firms to explicitly account for the full value of ecosystem impacts and inputs, including the benefits derived from ecosystems as well as the costs associated with their loss, the group says....
