California Officials Take Public Input on Green Chemistry Program

The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is convening a series of teleconferences on potential changes to the Safer Consumer Products Alternatives regulations, which form the basis of the state’s green chemistry program. The program was due to be finalized by the beginning of this year, but the scope of changes made late in the rulemaking process had created concern and the state decided to reconvene its “Green Ribbon” advisory panel to reevaluate program requirements.
