US DOD calls for better cybersecurity for critical infrastructure

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta says that US is increasingly vulnerable to coordinated cyber attacks that could virtually paralyze parts of the nation's transportation system or other critical infrastructure. The increased concern is due in part in to the recent cyber attacks on US financial institutions, as well as the August incident at Saudi Aramco, when hackers were able to infect more than 30,000 computers, which were rendered useless and had to replaced.
