Revised import/export regulations for very hazardous chemicals introduced in Europe

New rules concerning the import and export of very hazardous chemicals will be implemented in the European Union as of 1 March, when the revised prior informed consent (PIC) regulation comes into effect, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says. ECHA will simultaneously assume administrative and technical responsibility of PIC from the joint research center of the European Commission.
