Odfjell Halts Operations at Its Rotterdam Tank Terminal Due to Safety Concerns

Odfjell has begun a controlled safety shutdown of its Odfjell Terminals Rotterdam (OTR) tank terminal in the port of Rotterdam due to safety concerns. A safety inspection concluded that half of the tanks at the OTR facility are at risk of leaks and breach safety measures. The shutdown means there will be no truck, rail, barge, and ship movements at the terminal. Operations will restart at OTR after verification of fire fighting systems at the tanks, the company says.
