House and Senate Propose Bills to Extend CFATS

Lawmakers in the House and Senate have proposed separate bills that would extend the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS). Neither bill would require consideration of inherently safer technologies (IST). Collins: Extend CFATS until October 2015.
