EFSA to hold public scientific meeting on BPA

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA; Pisa, Italy) has announced that it will hold a public scientific meeting on bisphenol A (BPA), to take place at Brussels on 23 April. The aim of the meeting is a discussion among interested parties, scientific experts, and EFSA staff on the comments received by EFSA during the public consultations on BPA, the authority says. EFSA launched an open consultation on the draft opinion on the human health risks of BPA for consumers in January. The open consultation runs until 13 March.
