EFSA: Pesticide adherence above 97% for third consecutive year, no measurable pesticide residues on 53% of food samples

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA; Parma, Italy) says that the level of residual pesticides in food samples tested in the latest monitoring program falls within the permissible limits in over 97% of samples tested. These results are part of the fifth annual report on pesticide residues in food in 27 EU member states plus Norway and Iceland.
