ECHA invites comments on proposals for harmonized classification and labeling of bisphenol A

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has invited comments on a proposal for harmonized classification and labeling (CLH) on bisphenol A (BPA), the agency says. BPA is used mainly in manufacturing polycarbonate resins, epoxy resins, and coatings. The public consultation will be open for 45 days and will end on 11 October. The CLH proposal was submitted by France. A harmonized classification already exists for BPA. The dossier submitter proposes to amend the classification from reproductive toxicity category 2 to reproductive toxicity category 1B...
