BP Asks OSHA for More Time for Texas City Upgrades

BP has asked OSHA for more time to make mandated safety improvements at its Texas City complex, after missing the September 23 deadline OSHA had stipulated as part of BP’s settlement agreement with authorities. The improvements were part of a legal settlement between OSHA and BP for penalties related to the March, 2005 Texas City accident that killed 15.
