So Far So Good on Final Day of Reach Registration

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) will close its doors at 24:00 GMT tonight to those companies registering substances as required under the European Union’s (EU) Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program. All substances produced in volumes of 1,000 m.t./year or more and the most toxic chemicals must be registered.   ECHA tells CW that as of this morning European time its web-based Reach IT registration system was operating normally despite a late rush of registrations.
