EnviroTech :: Regulatory :: Regulatory: REACH Reach: ECHA Adds 14 Substances of Very High Concern to its Candidate List11:00 AM MST | January 19, 2010 | Alex Scott The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says it has added a further 14 substances of very high concern (SVHC) to its candidate list. Under the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program, chemicals placed on the candidate list must undergo additional evaluation and authorization before they can be freely sold on the market. The candidate list already featured 15 chemicals prior to the new additions. The 14 substances added are; five forms of anthracene oil; pitch, coal tar; aluminosilicate refractory ceramic fibers...
