Reach: ECHA Adds 14 Substances of Very High Concern to its Candidate List

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says it has added a further 14 substances of very high concern (SVHC) to its candidate list. Under the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program, chemicals placed on the candidate list must undergo additional evaluation and authorization before they can be freely sold on the market.
