Groups Press EU to Add Endocrine Disruptors to SVHC List8:52 AM MDT | May 9, 2011 | Alex Scott Environmental advocacy group ChemSec (Gothenburg, Sweden) has added 22 substances to a list of chemicals that it says should be banned under the European Union’s (EU) Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach). The group says the substances include endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) that pose a threat to human health and the environment, and the process for restricting them under Reach is not moving forward quickly enough.
