EU Places First Six Substances on Reach Authorization List

The European Commission has moved six chemical substances “of very high concern” from the candidate list to the authorization list under the European Union’s (EU) Reach regulation. It means that the substances will be banned in the EU within 3-5 years unless an authorization is granted to individual companies for their use.
