ECHA reviews 2013, outlines plans for 2014

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has reviewed key events in 2013, and provided an outline for 2014. The second deadline for the EU's Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals (Reach) registration took place in May. About 3,000 substances were registered in that month, bringing the total number of substances registered under Reach since 2008 to over 7,500, according to ECHA.
