China Bans DEHP Tainted Food Products Produced in the Country

The Chinese government says that the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA; Beijing) has ordered a ban on eight products, including food additives, manufactured by four Chinese companies after they were found to be tainted with di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). The ban on these products follows an import ban starting June 1 on certain DEHP tainted food products and additives from Taiwan.
