Syngenta: EPA’s Atrazine Review is Part of Routine Re-registration Process

EPA’s decision to review atrazine for possible adverse human health effects is part of the normal course of a pesticide’s re-registration, says Syngenta, the U.S.’s largest producer of atrazine. The herbicide is due for re-registration in 2013, and it is not unusual for EPA to request science advisory panel (SAP) meetings to review recent data as part of that process, says Syngenta principal scientist Timothy Pastoor.
