Markey Challenges OMB on Endocrine Directive

Representative Edward Markey (D., MA) has asked officials at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to explain the basis for their recent endocrine directive to EPA, saying it “may have the unintended consequence of preventing EPA from obtaining the very information it needs to make informed decisions.” Markey suggests that existing data could downplay potential "low dose" health effects, and has asked OMB to respond to six detailed queries about their decisionmaking process by November 12....
