DuPont Imprelis Recall Followed by EPA 'Stop Sale' Order2:27 PM MDT | August 11, 2011 | Kara Sissell DuPont will recall the herbicide Imprelis from distributors and customers after complaints citing widespread damage to trees. The active ingredient in Imprelis, aminocyclopyrachlor, received conditional approval from EPA last October, but customers recently began notifying DuPont and EPA that the herbicide appears to cause extensive damage to mature trees including Norway spruce and white pines. EPA followed DuPont's announcement with a "stop sale" order, directing DuPont to "immediately halt the sale, use or distribution of Imprelis" to ensure the recall conforms with statutory requirements....
