Texas Sues BP for Emissions Violations at Texas City

The state of Texas is suing BP Products North America, BP’s refining division, alleging the company illegally emitted about 500,000 pounds of air contaminants at its 460,000-bpd Texas City, TX refinery over a recent 40-day period, and a pattern of poor operating practices have caused “egregious” pollution at the plant over the past decade.
