Supreme Court Decision Signals Broad Changes to Pesticide Permit Requirements10:26 AM MST | March 1, 2010 | KARA SISSELL The U.S Supreme Court says it will let stand a lower court ruling that requires growers to obtain Clean Water Act (CWA) permits for pesticides that are already permitted under separate federal pesticide laws. The ruling in National Cotton Council of America v. EPA is a setback for industry groups that had petitioned the high court asking it to consider their appeal.
