Nalco Petitions for Dismissal from Gulf Oil Spill Litigation

Nalco has filed documents with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana in an effort to extricate the company from the sprawling litigation involving the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion and spill last year in the Gulf of Mexico. Nalco became involved in the litigation because it makes the oil dispersant Corexit, which was used on the 5 million gallons of oil that were released from the Macondo oil well over a period of 86 days last spring....
