Korean Chemical Tanker Hijacked off Oman

An 11,000-m.t. dwt tanker carrying an undisclosed cargo of chemicals was captured on January 15 by Somali pirates, reports say. The Korean-owned Samho Jewelry was about 350 nautical miles southeast of Muscat, Oman when it was hijacked. The vessel was en route to Sri Lanka from the United Arab Emirates.
