Industry, Union Pacific Settle Suit Over Shipment Liabilities

ACC says the lawsuit filed against Union Pacific over liability provisions in the railroadâ€™s rate card has been settled. ACC and The Chlorine Institute had filed a lawsuit against Union Pacific challenging the railroadâ€™s rate card provision that requires shippers to solely bear liability for a chlorine spill, even if the accident was the carrierâ€™s fault.
