EPA Fines DuPont, Sunoco

EPA has ordered DuPont to pay a civil penalty of $59,000 under a consent agreement related to Clean Water Act violations at the company’s Kinston, NC polymer plant. EPA says that DuPont discharged levels of mercury in excess of allowable amounts during between September 2008 and March 2009.
