Court Rules Against BASF in Fibronil Patent Suit12:54 PM MST | January 16, 2012 | Rebecca Coons The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina ruled in favor of Makhteshim Agan in a patent infringement dispute with BASF over the widely used termicide fibronil. BASF filed the suit in 2010 alleging Makhteshim Agan infringed BASF patents that cover methods of producing fibronil. Bayer CropScience, which exclusively licenses two of the patents to BASF, was included as a plaintiff.
