Court Reverses 'Stop Sale' Order for Amvac Fungicide

American Vanguard (Amvac; Newport Beach, CA) scored a victory earlier this month when the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia vacated EPA’s stop sale order on the company’s pentachloronitrobenzene (PCNB) fungicide product line that had been in place for about a year. The same court last year denied Amvac’s petition for temporary relief from the stop sale order. Amvac says EPA based the stop sale order on the grounds that the company did not identify trace impurities in the required “confidential statement of formula.”...
