Court Dismisses Corporate Espionage Suit Targeting Dow, Sasol

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Greenpeace alleging Dow Chemical, Condea Vista, since acquired by Sasol, two public relations firms and a private security company conspired to interfere with Greenpeace’s campaigns related to the companies’ operations. The court says Greenpeace failed, however, to establish “a direct connection between the alleged federal criminal acts and any injury Greenpeace may of suffered.” The civil racketeering suit alleges Dow and Sasol, with the public relations...
