Chemtura to Pay $26 Million to Settle Liabilities at 17 Sites

Chemtura, the U.S. EPA, and bankruptcy court attorneys have reached a settlement under which Chemtura will pay $26 million in environmental liabilities at 17 sites. Most of the money will go towards funding clean-up activities at those sites, which include 12 Superfund sites, EPA says. The sites are mostly located in the eastern United States.
