China investigates imports of tert-butylhydroquinone from India

China’s Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom; Beijing) says that it has launched an antidumping investigation on 22 August into imports by China of tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), from India. The investigation is due to be completed by 22 August 2014, but may be extended until February 2015, Mofcom says. The investigation was launched following complaints from TBHQ producers in China, accusing Indian manufacturers of dumping the product in the Chinese market, Mofcom says.
