Report on GM Crops and Pesticide Use Draws Fire from Producers

A report on the impact of genetically modified (GM) crops after the first 13 years of commercial use in the U.S. finds that GM crops have increased pesticide use 318.4 million pounds compared to the amount of pesticide likely to have been applied in the absence of herbicide tolerant and Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) seeds.
