A U.S. District judge in San Francisco has ruled that genetically modified (GM) sugar beets seedlings planted by four seed companies in September be destroyed, saying the USDA issued permits to grow the crops despite a prior ruling revoking USDA's approval of GM sugar beets and without conducting an environmental review....
