EPA Approves DuPont ‘In-the-Bag’ Corn Seeds

DuPont says it has received EPA approval for its Optimum AcreMax 1 refuge-in-a-bag corn hybrid seeds. It is the first EPA approval for an “in-the-bag” solution to fulfill EPA’s requirement that 20% of the corn farmers plant not include an insect protection trait to deter corn pests from developing resistance to biotech traits.
