CTNBio Clears Dow Stacked Trait Seed

Dow AgroSciences says it has received approval from Brazilian regulators for planting of the company’s Powercore genetically modified corn. The technology is the first five-gene trait stack technology approved by Brazil’s National Biosafety Technical Commission (CTNBio), Dow says. The seed includes traits that impart tolerance to glyphosate and glufosinate herbicides and is expected to be available in 2012.
