(update 2)2:44 AM MST | December 16, 2010 | Alex Scott There is not yet a global deal that will protect the world from catastrophic climate change, but the so called Cancun Agreements secured by parties to the UN climate summit in Mexico in recent days mark progress toward concerted action on this front. Agreement was reached between 193 of the 194 countries party to the summit meeting. The deal, rejected only by Bolivia, has been broadly welcomed by industry as a step in the right direction.
