Industry Has Mixed Response to Latest U.S. Climate Bill2:14 PM MDT | May 24, 2010 | Vincent Valk Senators John Kerry (D., MA) and Joseph Lieberman (I., CT) have climate introduced legislation, the latest attempt by U.S. lawmakers to establish a mandatory program for curbing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The bill, called the American Power Act, would establish a cap-and-trade system for GHG emissions that targets energy intensive sectors, including power generation, heavy industry, and transportation.
