India Plans Emissions Trading Scheme

India will announce a market-based emission trading scheme on February 1, which will aim to introduce a self-regulated system for manufacturing units and put a price on the emission of pollutants, reports say. The emissions trading scheme will be first introduced in the states of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
