HSBC: Low Carbon Market to Reach $2.2 Trillion by 2020

A report by investment bank HSBC estimates that the global low carbon energy market will reach $2.2 trillion by 2020, even in the absence of a U.S. policy for pricing carbon emissions. The report considered four separate scenarios, with the most pessimistic estimating a $1.5 trillion market and the most optimistic estimating a $2.7 trillion market.
