EPA’s Issues Technology Guidance for GHG Permits

U.S. EPA recently released guidelines best available control technology (BACT) for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The guidelines set out that BACT for GHGs will be determined on a case-by-case basis for each facility, based on a listing of possible control technologies, and environmental, economic and cost considerations. The guidelines are in keeping with BACT procedures for other pollutants regulated under the Clean Air Act (CAA).
