Chemical Firms Win DOE Research Grants3:41 PM MDT | October 26, 2009 | rebecca coons The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) says it has formed a new agency within the DOE endowed with $400 million in American Recovery and Investment Act funds to advance “bold, transformative” energy research projects. The agency, named Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), has announced plans to allocate $151 million to 37 recipients. Most of the grant winners are small businesses and universities.
