Air Regulators Ask Lawmakers to Resist Constraining EPA, States in Climate Bill

State air regulators have asked lawmakers to resist pressure to pass laws that would prohibit EPA from regulating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under current Clean Air Act authority. The regulators say that EPA has â€śheeded the advice of state and local governmental agencies and outlined an approach that will provide an orderly transition as state and local agencies prepare considering and analyzing permits with GHG provisions.â€ť Several measures pending in Congress would prevent EPA from regulating GHGs for stationary sources, at least until Congress has time...
