The PEM fuel cell, which Solvay describes as a “demonstration” unit, is the largest of its kind in the world, Solvay says. SolVin, a producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) is 75% owned by Solvay and 25% owned by BASF.
