European Biofuels Industry Seeks Sanctions Against U.S. Firms

Europe’s biofuels industry representatives say they will lodge a complaint with European Union (EU) trade authorities against undisclosed U.S. companies that allegedly are evading anti-dumping duties. The European Biodiesel Board (EBB; Brussels) will file its complaint “in the upcoming weeks” but has not yet identified the companies suspected to be in violation of the antidumping duties. EBB says that, despite official antidumping measures enacted earlier this year, subsidized or dumped biodiesel “still enters the European market via third countries.”...
