UN, Industry Focus on SAICM Before Int’l Meeting

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has issued a report saying more progress is needed on its Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) if parties are to meet the 2020 goal that “chemicals are produced in ways that lead to the minimization of significant adverse effects on human health and the environment,” measured against 20 reporting indicators.
