U.S. EPA Proposes Significant New Use Rules for 17 Substances

The U.S. EPA has proposed significant new use rules (SNURs) for 17 chemical substances, the result of a legal settlement after EPA was sued for not complying with portions of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). SNURs apply to uses of substances that are not ongoing and the substances had been listed in pre-manufacture notices to EPA.
