U.K. Unveils Anti-counterfeit Drugs Program

  The U.K.’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA; London) has unveiled a new three-year program to combat the sale of counterfeit drugs. The program was detailed at a recent conference on drug counterfeiting held by MHRA in London. U.K. has become a major distribution point for counterfeit drugs partly because a U.K. stamp on packaging adds an air of authenticity to products, MHRA says.
