Senate Lawmakers Vote to Extend CFATS

The U.S. Senate’s Homeland Security and Government Affairs committee has approved a plant security bill that would extend until October 2015 Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS). The bill, sponsored by a bipartisan group of lawmakers led by Senator Susan Collins (R., ME), has broad support from industry groups.
